Located along a seemingly endless stretch of white sand on the pristine East Cape of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, away from the crowds of Cabo San Lucas, lies the Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas.

The challenge was to design an impactful visual identity for in-room collateral and a number of hospitality venues that would be unique to each one, yet complementary to the others and the established Four Seasons aesthetic. For the in-room pieces, a copper foil was used throughout, representing the iconic orange sunset over the East Cape mountains, while textured papers lent the materials a high-end yet handmade feel. Also developed a geometric pattern, inspired by historical Mexican architecture and the country’s rich visual heritage. The cohesive and elegant system revives forgotten or neglected techniques, motifs and materials, through a modern and premium lens, creating one unified vision for the unique venues at this enchanting seaside escape.
